Welcome travelers to the Map Shop!
February was a weird reading month for me. I wanted to do the Manga Madness readathon but found out it was canceled for this round while they did some reorganizing. And then I went on a week's vacation to Mexico with my family. On top of this, when I tried to do my decades reading challenge, I put myself into a mini reading slump. I ended up having to DNF them in order to get on with the rest of my reading.
So, here's a quick look at what I read during February:
Out of everything I read, I think my favorite was Nevernight. I was worried it was being over-hyped even though I enjoyed his writing style with Illumine and Aurora Rising. Thank god I was wrong. It was such a good book (even if I saw two of the twists coming) and I'm already on the holds list for Godsgrave at my library.
So, what books will March bring?
For the Decades Challenge, we are entering the 1920s. The predetermined list (for anyone who is interested in following along) includes:
As for my Color my Shelves challenge, I'm trying to finish up my Danse Macabe Vampire Requiem from White Wolf publishing. I'd also like to read one of my Niel Gaiman books and possibly another nonfiction that I haven't decided upon yet. Probably my One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. My mom read it a few years ago and gave it to me to read. It's probably time to actually read it.
What are you planning to read next month?
Until next time, travelers.

So, here's a quick look at what I read during February:
- Dubliners by James Joyce-- DNF'd. Just couldn't hold my attention.
- Blade of the Immortal: Blood of a Thousand(vol. 1) by Hiroaki Samura
- Blade o the Immortal: Cry of the Worm (vol. 2) by Hiroaki Samura
- Blade of the Immortal: Dreamsong (vol. 3) by Hiroaki Samura
- Blade of the Immortal: Dark Shadows (vol. 6) by Hiroaki Samura-- I mistook this for volume 4 since there aren't any numbers marking them and since the plot seemed to pick up right where 3 left off.
- Tarzan of the Apes by Edgar R. Burroughs-- DNF'd. I attempted to listen to this one and the only audiobook I could find made me dislike the narrator so I couldn't make it through.
- Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Vol. 5 by Akira Himekawa
- Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Vol. 6 by Akira Himekawa
- Monstress Vol. 4: The Chosen by Marjorie Liu
- Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
- Save the Cat! Writes a Novel by Jessica Brody
